The family she grew up with was Catholic and she grew up on the Upper East Side in Manhattan. The parents of her were enrolled at the Convent of the Sacred Heart which is a prestigious religious institution. Music was her passion since childhood. She began playing the piano at just a little girl. At thirteen she wrote her first song. She participated in an open mic nights. The singers she admired were the Queen Michael Jackson Madonna and David Bowie. When she graduated from high school she entered New York University's Tisch School of Art to pursue a degree in music. She did not complete her study, but left them to pursue her musical career.
